How old are they? What do they do for fun? Where do they shop? What is their family like? How do they perceive themselves? (For example, once people reach age 40+, they perceive themselves as much younger – 10 or 12 years – and it is vital that you represent them that way.)Know what you should say. What is the most important message you can convey regarding your product or service, and how it will benefit your prospect.Then, and only then, can you determine the best way to convey that message. (The copy, the medium.) The words you use will make – or break – you with your target audience. Words that will resonate with one target group, will turn off another target group.
